Fun, Floral, & Bell sleeves

Happy Labor Day, I hope y’all had a great weekend. Over the weekend I have fallen in love with this turquoise, floral, and flirty dress that compliments my new and improved hair color so well. If you follow my Instagram page, you know that I have recently gone a little more blonder thanks to Rebekah Glanville! My transition hair from brown to blonde has been no joke and has taken TIME. For those of you trying to get a little lighter, be patient and you’ll love it in the end so just remember it’s a process. Also, if you are around the Austin, TX area and looking for an amazing hair expert you can book with Rebekah (here) she is absolutely amazing.

I have been a little MIA for the past three weeks and I could not be more excited to get back into the swing of blogging. Over the past three weeks I had workweek for my sorority (ZLAM), recruitment, and my first week of my junior year of college (Scary). I have enjoyed this break and getting to enjoy so much time with my sisters and bring in so many sweet new members, but I am glad my MCP break is over.

Summer has come and gone so quickly, but I feel like this deep turquoise is a great color transition for the fall. I must say, the fall weather, clothes, and everything that comes along with the season has to be my favorite. Bell sleeves have been one of my favorite details to liven up any dress and just add some fun to any outfit. With any outfit or dress, a simple bell sleeve or even big flared jeans could make your outfit a little more fun. Another plus to fall, I can start wearing my deeper colored lipsticks, which I’ll be sharing over on a separate blog post. I did shoot this look at the end of summer, but along with short or tall booties and a hat could easily make it more fall appropriate.

I cannot wait to share all my favorite fall looks with y’all very soon.

Sassy Stripes & Pink Lipstick

This sassy stripe #OTS top and pink lipstick just screams MCP. If any shirt or lipstick can makes me feel sassier when I put it on, you betcha I’ll be purchasing it in a heartbeat. An #OTS top paired with the best fitting boyfriend fit jeans can go a long way and that also goes for the best color lipstick out there. And don’t worry, I know summer is almost gone, but ill be hanging on to the off the shoulder trend until the very end.

If you are keeping up with me on Instagram, you will see that I have been sharing hair tutorials and makeup looks. I have received such great feedback and I would love to hear what more y’all would like to see. I enjoy doing the Instagram stories and it has helped me get over my fear of YouTube, so maybe that will be in the works. In the mean time, keep a look out for my Instagram stories.

One of my favorite makeup items is, of course, lipstick. Over the years I feel like purchasing lipstick has now transitioned into not just “needing or wanting,” but adding to my collection of lip-products. I must admit, I am addicted to purchasing lipstick and I’m not ashamed LOL, but really who isn’t? Some of my favorite lipstick brands include Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC, and Kylie Cosmetics. Some of my other go-tos are NYX, Color Pop Cosmetics, and Jeffree Star cosmetics. I am very drawn to a great pink lipstick and the perfect mauve color. One thing I can say about lipstick is, there is always a dupe out there for a specific color, but the formulas can be completely different so watch out for that.

Now, more about this look, there is just something about the off the shoulder look that immediately give you some extra sass, another reason why I am so in love with this trend. Even a top like this can be pulled off with boyfriend fit jeans (which I love) and still look sassy and stylish as can be. Outfits like this, with more natural colors can easily livened up with a pop of color on the lips, fun earrings, and a trendy clutch to go along with it. I encourage you, to try out these little things to sass up some of your own looks.

Simple Date Night Look

Sometimes, during the summer, simplicity is key. For me, it’s usually a rushed date night look, or something along those lines. So in these cases, I usually throw on something simple, cute, and easily dressed up or down if needed. White jeans are your “best friend” in these instances; summer time whites are so chic and easy to transition for these cases.

As for some of my favorite summer date ideas, you can always count me in for a typical dinner date and a movie, but I also love strolling the streets of Austin, TX, and finding the perfect place for brunch. Aside from those, Bradley and I really enjoy hiking and finding new adventures. Some of our favorite places to visit have been the Grand Canyon and Big Bend National Park. Although I highly recommend not wearing white pants hiking LOL; I thought I would throw those in just for fun!

On to the outfit details, and my easy date night look. I purchased this top on sale (YES GIRL) at Zara; one of my favorite places to shop and find great deals. Zara has one of the best selections for easy wear tops, and I have recently found out that their jeans selection is EVEN BETTER; being 5’ foot nothing... I was very surprised I found a good fit. This top was an excellent fit to a very easy and simple look for a perfect date night. I hope this looks help you in your spur of the moment date night, “I don’t know what to wear” situations.

Summer Trend

It’s Tuesday, and today marks a month since I have launched Miss.Classypants. What better way to celebrate today with a new blog post? I had a super busy weekend (why I was absent from social media) packing up my very first apartment to switch over to a four-bedroom cottage with three of my sorority sisters; Now, enough with apartment talk. It’s sad to thinking summer Is coming to an end, and saying goodbye to summer trends; but who am I kidding, I CANNOT wait to get back to good ole Lubbock, TX to see all my sweet friends!

On the topic of summer trends, this is the summer for off the shoulder (OTS) everything. It has been my non-stop go-to look, and as you can tell, my favorite. I have fallin’ in love with this trend, and can’t get over it (oops). Whether it’s a top or dress, it’s got my name written ALL over it. This off the shoulder trend has taken the fashion world by storm. I have seen so many looks and look-a-likes out there making it so easy to get your hands on the cutest trend of this summer.

This dress that I’m wearing is just perfect; the color, fit, and price ($28) all in one. This is great for a simple summer day, or on vacation, that is easy to throw together. I love dressing up a look with a cute hat or fun earring. Also ALV jewels has the cutest wraps (pictured) that go great with everything, go check them out. Although this boutique does not have this particular dress in stock at the moment; I will link an alternative that I have found for y’all.

Cheers to a month here on MCP

Blogging Bestie

Friday we meet again (Thank goodness), and I couldn’t be more excited to share today’s blog post with y’all, but before we get right into it; I would like to thank everyone for the enormous amount of support I received when I officially launched my blog. I was overwhelmed with all the shares, great feedback, and the one thousand views I received on my very first post. My heart is so full by this whole experience, and I can’t wait to see how far “Miss.ClassyPants” will go.

Everyone, meet Audrey Stowe; my blogging bestie and also my sorority sister, she has played a HUGE role in helping me find the courage to follow through and launch “Miss.ClassyPants.” I cannot thank her enough for the encouragement, my countless answered questions, and helping me get through this whole experience without giving up; seriously she’s a life saver. Go check out her awesome blog at http://www.audreymadstowe.com and subscribe (you will love her)!

Now on to the outfit! This has to be one of my favorite looks that I have done in awhile, As always this simple high wasted skirt (my favorite) paired with one of the hottest trends this summer, a off the shoulder top. This top I have had for ages, but I have recently been on an OTS purchasing spree and I can’t wait to share them ALL with y’all.

Again, thank you for reading! I appreciate it more than you know.
